Summary

Summary
The VA Office of Inspector General (OIG) conducted a follow-up review of the environment of care (EOC) to assess the status of selected action plans related to EOC in response to the recommendations from OIG’s prior Combined Assessment Program and Combined Assessment Program follow-up reviews and to re evaluate selected EOC elements. This review focused on two activities (1) EOC and (2) Mental Health Residential Rehabilitation Treatment Program. We made no new recommendations in the Mental Health Residential Rehabilitation Treatment Program activity and where applicable, closed recommendations when actions plans were completed. OIG made a new recommendation for improvement in the EOC activity.
