Independent Review of VA's FY 2016 Performance Summary Report on Drug Control Funds to the Office of National Drug Control Policy

As required by the ONDCP’s Drug Control Accounting Circular, the OIG reviewed VA’s FY 2016 Performance Summary Report to the Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP). We attested to VA’s ability to capture performance information accurately and whether the current system was properly applied to generate the performance data reported in the Performance Summary Report. Based upon our review and the criteria of the Circular, nothing came to our attention that caused us to believe that VA does not have a system to meet its FY 2016 targets for the continuity of care performance measure (Patient Care) and the substance abuse disorder on-going studies performance measure (Research and Development), in all material respects.
