Clinton , OK — The Oklahoma City Veterans Affairs would like to inform Veterans of the upcoming Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribal PACT Act Community Engagement.
WHAT: OKC VA hosts Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribal PACT Act Community Engagement
WHEN: Friday, September 13, 2024; from 9:00am-3:00pm
WHERE: Emergency Response Center, 10329 N. 2274 Road, Clinton, OK 73601
WHO: All Veterans (not just Tribal Veterans), spouses, caregivers, Veteran widows, and active-duty personnel.
This year’s Promise to Address Comprehensive Toxics (PACT) Act theme encourages opening lines of communication between VA resources and rural-area Veterans.
The OKC VA is letting all Veterans in the Clinton community know that at this event the VA will bring the resources they need including Eligibility and Enrollment, VA ID Cards, Toxic Exposure Screening and Veteran Service Officers to file help Veterans file VA Claims.
If you are a Veteran, or Veteran widow, come to the Emergency Response Center, located at 10329 N. 2274 Road, Clinton, OK 73601 on Friday, September 13th from 9am-3pm to discuss your VA healthcare needs, answer questions and file for VA benefits. The OKC VA is inviting all Veterans, their spouses or caregivers, Veteran widows, and active-duty military personnel nearing retirement to attend this Clinton-area community engagement to personally help each Veteran and their families get the information they need about the PACT Act, VA eligibility, answer healthcare questions and talk to the VA experts.
The OKC VA 2024 outreach program is in full swing with outreach events throughout Oklahoma called ‘Let’s Talk About It’ and reaching out to specific communities in and around OKC VA footprint.
This year’s outreach program the VA will travel to rural areas and bring the resources to Veterans and talk about their healthcare concerns, or provide help navigating the VA Health Care System, benefits and assist Veterans with resources and claims process.
The OKC VA is able to bring the necessary resources to local communities by partnering with Office of Tribal Government Relations, Muskogee Benefits Office, the Oklahoma Department of Veterans Affairs and bringing all the experts together to provide Veterans with toxic exposure screening, meeting local providers, enrolling in healthcare, filing service connection claims and much more.
