Office of Procurement, Acquisition and Logistics Signature

The Executive Director, Office of Procurement, Acquisition and Logistics (OPAL), oversees operations of a Central Office staff and OPAL field activities.  OPAL provides comprehensive, strategic acquisition support for VA’s highly complex requirements, including strategic Information Technology and medical systems.

The Executive Director/OPAL, also recommends policies, plans, and strategies for VA-wide application on contract administration, acquisition planning, procurement, and contract administration in connection with acquiring supplies, equipment and services required for the provision of benefits and medical care to the nation’s Veterans.  OPAL’s primary focus is to provide customers value-added acquisition business solutions.
