The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU), hosts business development webinars to help entrepreneurs become procurement ready and posture themselves to do business with VA. In this training, attendees will understand the importance of risk mitigation.
In this session, the facilitator will show business owners how to recognize risks that may impact the procurement process and develop strategies to mitigate potential risks to you as the "seller" and "buyer." In addition, participants will learn how commonly used risk mitigation tools coupled with Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats (SWOT) analysis and the importance of an excellent past performance rating (CPAR) are essential for agencies to use when assessing their risk of a Veteran-Owned Small Business.
A question-and-answer period will follow, and attendees will receive an extensive list of internet business resources.
