Session 3: Hindsight is 20/20: People, Places, and Purpose
Building on the insights gained from Session 1, where we explored the core of caregiving, and Session 2, where we discussed its impact on relationships, work, and personal identity, we now turn to the lessons learned throughout the caregiving journey.
Caregiving changes everything.
In this session, we’ll reflect on how caregiving transforms relationships, finances, and your sense of purpose. We’ll explore the roles that people, places, and communities play in shaping your caregiving experience and how they affect your daily life. Through shared stories, we’ll discuss emotional and practical lessons caregivers have learned and how these insights can support your journey.
This session will also offer strategies to strengthen your support system, manage relationships and finances, and maintain balance. We’ll touch on the emotional and spiritual aspects of caregiving, providing tools for caregivers to maintain their well-being while navigating the challenges and growth caregiving brings.
The Caregiver’s Playbook is a comprehensive, four-part training series hosted by Guy Maytal, MD, Chief Medical Officer at Forge Health, and Natalie Elliott Handy, MSW, Co-Host of Confessions of a Reluctant Caregiver Podcast.
