The goal of this session is to openly discuss issues, challenges, and joys that caregivers face, and offer resources to help. These issues can differ based on the stage of prostate cancer. You’ll hear from caregivers (and patients) in their own words. We are honored to be joined by a former Navy pilot who is participating in a clinical trial at the Washington DC VA, and his wife. Learn about advocating for your loved one, navigating treatment decisions, strategies and resources to care for yourself, communication, changes in relationships, and more.
About our speakers:
- Sharon Bober, PhD is Founder & Director, Sexual Health Program, at Dana Farber Cancer Institute
- Brenda Martone, MSN, ANP-BC, AOCNP, is an oncology nurse practitioner at Northwestern Medicine
- Alicia Morgans, MD, MPH is Medical Director of the Survivorship Program at Dana Farber Cancer Institute
