The Phoenix Indian Center and Phoenix VA Health Care System will honor the sacrifices of our Indigenous soldiers, recognize their accomplishments, and hear from their families and fellow tribal citizens.

Event Activities Will Include:

  • Community Speakers - Navajo Code Talker Descendants
  • Deputy Director, PVAHCS, Michael Welsh - Sharing of key services  for Native American Veterans and Families
  • U.S. Air Force Veteran, Shine Jozefiak (Navajo) Technical Sergeant - A Native American Veteran's Perspective
  • Laying of the Wreath and Remembrance Ceremony by the Pee-Posh Veterans Association, Veterans  and Active-Duty Military Members
  • On-site VA Health Care Enrollment, Social Work Resource Tables, and Phoenix Indian Center Program Information Tables

Please note: Enter through the central avenue entrance on the west side of the park. There will be free parking & handicap accessible parking available.
