Primary Care
Phoenix VA Health Care System Primary Care Providers (PCP) give eligible Veterans easy access to health care professionals familiar with their needs. Your PCP provides long-term, patient-provider relationships, coordinates care across a spectrum of health services, educates, and offers disease prevention programs. PCPs serve as the foundation of the Phoenix VA Health Care System. Primary Care promotes team based, patient-centered care focusing on a personalized, integrated, comprehensive, and coordinated approach to health care. Primary Care actively partners with other VHA offices to develop and evaluate innovative programs that integrate VHA resources into the PACT model.

Mental Health
The Phoenix VA Health Care System Mental Health providers aim to address Veterans’ needs from the moment they transition out of the military through their reintegration into civilian life and beyond. Nothing is more important to VA than supporting the health of the nation’s Veterans and their families. Overall health includes mental well-being, which VA supports with timely access to high-quality, evidence-based mental health care.

Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
The Phoenix VA Health Care Service's Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Services (PM&RS) is committed to providing the highest quality, comprehensive and interdisciplinary care and promoting advancements in rehabilitative care and evidence-based treatment. PM&RS providers are responsible for medical rehabilitation programs that promote the health, independence and quality of life for Veterans with disabilities. They provide medical, rehabilitative and preventive strategies, which emphasizes restoring and optimizing function through physical modalities, therapeutic exercise and interventions, adaptive equipment, modification of the environment, education and assistive devices.

Surgical Specialty
Phoenix VA Health Care System Surgical Service providers strive to serve our Veterans with timely, safe, state-of-the art surgical care. They are committed to a patient-centered environment and workforce culture built on diversity, trust, communication, and teamwork. Our surgeons offer a wide range of state-of-the-art surgical care, including advanced open, minimally-invasive, and robotic surgical techniques. Additionally, our outpatient and procedure clinics provide ambulatory surgical services to Veterans from across our region.
