Charles Peterman, SPHR, serves as the associate director for the John J. Pershing VA Medical Center.
A native of southeast Missouri, Peterman is passionately committed to serving the Veterans of southeast Missouri and northeast Arkansas. His personal connection to the VA mission runs deep; he is the grandson of a late World War II Navy Veteran who received care at the VA, and he has several Veteran family members who continue to receive care today.
With more than 18 years of distinguished Federal service, Peterman brings a wealth of leadership experience spanning multiple federal agencies. He has served in pivotal senior roles in the Veterans Health Administration, the Department of Education, Department of Energy, and the Office of Personnel Management.
Peterman holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with concentrations in Management and Human Resources from Oakland City University and the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification from the HR Certification Institute, reflecting his expertise in strategic leadership, workforce planning, and organizational development.
