“PTSD SKILLS SERIES FOR SUPPORTING A LOVED ONE WITH PTSD

Wednesdays, January 22 - February 12 | Meets Virtually - 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.


IMPORTANT ~ All participants of this series MUST be enrolled in Caregiver Support Program.

This 4-week VA interdepartmental psychoeducation series will provide Caregivers with  education and supportive resources as they care for Veterans who experience PTSD. Presentations in this series include the following:

PTSD 101 for Family and Friends Jan 22, 2025 & Jan 29, 2025

Learn about what PTSD is, tangible ideas for how to support Veterans with PTSD, what loved ones can do for themselves, and resources available to help further, if needed. 

Prevention and Management of Disruptive Behaviors Feb 5, 2025

Learn about assessing others' level of stress, de-escalate tense situations and how to keep themselves calm during the process. 

Intimate Partner Violence Awareness & Safety Feb 12, 2025

Learn how to recognize signs of emotional, verbal, and physical aggression, supportive strategies, and resources for keeping yourself and others safe.
