VA Providence Healthcare System Hosts Veterans Day Celebration

Providence , RI — The VA Providence Healthcare System proudly hosted its annual Veterans Day Celebration, bringing together Veterans, staff, and community members to honor the service and sacrifices of our nation’s heroes.
The event took place in the 5th Floor Classrooms at VA Providence and featured a keynote speech by Sgt. Ronald Whitcomb, U.S. Army, a Vietnam Veteran whose stories of courage and resilience resonated deeply with attendees.
The ceremony commenced with a warm welcome from VA Providence Director Lawrence Connell, followed by remarks that emphasized the importance of recognizing the dedication and bravery of Veterans from all eras. Sgt. Whitcomb’s speech provided a personal reflection on his time in service, reminding those present of the impact Veterans have had on our country’s history and continued legacy.
“Today’s event is a testament to the unwavering commitment of our Veterans and a reminder that their sacrifices are never forgotten,” said Lawrence Connell, Director of VA Providence and retired Army Colonel. “We are honored to have Sgt. Whitcomb share his story and inspire us all.”
