A High-Flying Career Lands: Celebrating John Loughlin's Journey to Retirement
VA Providence is bidding a heartfelt farewell to John Loughlin, our esteemed Public Affairs Officer, as he steps into retirement.
John's illustrious career has been marked by a diverse array of roles that exemplify his dedication to service and leadership.
John earned his B.S. in Sociology from the State University of New York in 1992, followed by his attendance at the United States Army Command/General Staff College in 1998. His multifaceted career includes roles as a Commercial Helicopter Pilot for the Federal Aviation Administration, Manager of Business Development for Media Services at Context Media, and service in the Rhode Island National Guard. Notably, John served as a Public Affairs Officer for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration in 1990 and concluded his military service as a Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Army Reserve in 2004. John also dedicated time at the Veteran Benefits Administration as a Claims Representative before bringing his wealth of experience to VA Providence as the Public Affairs Officer.
John's commitment and contributions have left an indelible mark on VA Providence and the Veteran community we serve. We wish him all the best in his well-deserved retirement.
