On Tuesday, July 29, the VA Providence Healthy Teaching Kitchen hosted “Mastering Your Meals for Diabetes”—a hands-on nutrition education class designed to empower Veterans to manage their diabetes with confidence and clarity.

Led by Lynn Leclair, Informatics Dietitian, the session focused on building balanced plates, understanding blood sugar control, and making sustainable food choices that support long-term health. Veterans participated in interactive demonstrations and received practical tips they can apply in their daily lives—proving that managing diabetes doesn’t have to mean giving up delicious meals.

Thank you to Lynn for her leadership, and for helping our Veterans take control of their health—one plate at a time.
