VA Providence recently hosted a thought-provoking Circles and Silence event.

The event was led by our Community Engagement and Partnership Coordinator, Kimberly Ferrante, alongside Community Engagement & Crime Prevention Coordinator David Neill and Assistant U.S. Attorney Amy Romero from the United States Department of Justice. The event shed light on the ongoing opioid epidemic and its impact on Veterans here in Rhode Island, fostering an open dialogue about this critical issue. Attendees also gained valuable insight into federal laws designed to protect Veterans from discrimination, underscoring the importance of advocacy and education in combating stigma.
