Celebrating New Beginnings at the VA Providence Baby Shower

VA Providence celebrated fifteen expecting and new Veteran mothers during a heartwarming Baby Shower hosted by Women Veterans Program Manager Joanne Barrett.
The event featured refreshments, gift bags, and community support from across Rhode Island and southeastern Massachusetts. Each Veteran received essential baby supplies, along with well-wishes from staff and volunteers dedicated to honoring the growing families of those who served.
Joanne Barrett shared, “These moments remind us that service doesn’t end when the uniform comes off—it continues through the next generation.”
VA Providence extends gratitude to all community partners and donors who made the event possible.
