By Justyn Charon, Public Affairs Specialist

On May 16, VA Providence joined local Veterans, families, and community partners at the Maury Loontjens Memorial Library for a morning of coffee, conversation, and connection.

The event welcomed attendees to learn more about VA programs, available resources, and how to access care and benefits. VA Providence’s own Kim Ferrante (Suicide Prevention), Joanne Barrett (Women Veteran Program Manager), and Michelle Henderson (Enrollment Specialist) were on hand to provide support and information alongside representatives from the Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA), Gateway Healthcare, and the Rhode Island Department of Health’s SSG Fox Grant Program.

Thank you to all who came out to learn, share, and support one another. Events like these strengthen our commitment to ensuring every Veteran feels seen, heard, and empowered on their health care journey.
