VA Providence Healthcare System was proud to support the Cape & the Islands Veteran Outreach Center (CIVOC) International Women’s Day event held this past Saturday at Margaritaville Resort Cape Cod.

The event was a joyful celebration of empowerment, wellness, and community — and VA Providence employees played a leading role in making it a success.

Joanne Barrett, Women Veterans Program Manager, led the VA Providence team, ensuring our presence was impactful and Veteran-centered. She was joined by fellow VA colleagues Laurie Harris, Ellisa Monteiro, Aquanetta Gifondorwa, and Kelline Say, who each contributed their time and expertise to support the day’s programming.

From an inspiring keynote by Retired Colonel Betty Ludke (USAF) to engaging activities such as Reiki, mini facials, and a dessert charcuterie table (courtesy of Home Depot), the event honored the strength and resilience of women Veterans in a meaningful way.

A heartfelt thank you to our VA Providence team, all guest speakers, volunteers, sponsors, and the incredible women Veterans who made this day so special. We’re proud to stand with you — today and every day.
