VA Providence celebrated Florence Nightingale’s birthday—the founder of modern nursing—by honoring the compassion and dedication of our nursing staff during a special Blessing of the Hands ceremony.

The event offered nurses a moment of reflection, healing, and appreciation as spiritual leaders shared words of gratitude and grace. This meaningful tradition symbolizes the healing power that nurses bring to every patient they touch.

Thank you to all of our incredible nurses for the skill, empathy, and strength you bring to VA Providence each day. You carry on Florence Nightingale’s legacy with every life you impact.
