Honoring a Lifetime of Achievement – Air Force Veteran Receives Veteran Service Alumni Award

VA Providence's Women Veterans Program and additional staff proudly attended a ceremony at the University of Rhode Island recognizing 96-year-old U.S. Air Force Veteran Carolyn Spinney, who received a Veteran Service Alumni Award in acknowledgment of her lifelong service and contributions.

Spinney, who served during the post–World War II era, inspired attendees with her words of wisdom and humility. 

VA Providence leaders and staff joined University officials in celebrating her achievements and the example she continues to set for generations of Veterans. 

The moment was a testament to the enduring impact of service, education, and community.
