On Thursday, June 27th, VA Providence observed PTSD Awareness Day with a solemn and impactful event held in our chapel.

The gathering served as a reminder of the invisible wounds and lasting effects of trauma that many of our Veterans endure. During the event, we took a moment to remember and honor those we have lost to these unseen battles, acknowledging their sacrifice and the profound impact of PTSD on their lives and the lives of their loved ones.

The ceremony provided an opportunity for Veterans, staff, and community members to come together in support and solidarity. Through shared stories, reflections, and moments of silence, we underscored the importance of awareness, understanding, and compassionate care for those affected by PTSD. VA Providence remains steadfast in our commitment to providing comprehensive support and resources to help our Veterans heal and thrive.
