Perking Up Veteran Connections in Woonsocket

The Woonsocket Harris Public Library welcomed Veterans for “Coffee & Conversation,” an outreach event hosted by VA Providence in partnership with Community Care Alliance and the SSG Fox Suicide Prevention Grant Program.
The free event offered coffee, light refreshments, and an informal setting for Veterans to connect with both VA staff and community providers.
Representatives from VA Providence provided details about our healthcare eligibility, mental health resources, Women Veterans program and programs designed to support the unique needs of local Veterans. By combining the expertise of VA staff with the services offered by community partners, the event delivered a well-rounded approach to meeting the needs of those who served.
