Rhode Island Elks Deliver for Veterans in Need

By Justyn Charon, Public Affairs Specialist
The Rhode Island Elks Lodges are proving once again that community and compassion go hand in hand. This week, food donations—already totaling more than 2,000 pounds with more still on the way—were delivered to the VA Providence Homeless Clinic to help support Veterans experiencing food insecurity.
The effort was led by Matt Vianna, a U.S. Army Veteran and dedicated member of the Elks, who helped coordinate contributions from lodges across the state. The donation drive reflects the Elks’ long-standing commitment to serving those who served, ensuring that no Veteran in Rhode Island goes without access to nutritious food and basic essentials.
The VA Providence Healthcare System extends its heartfelt gratitude to the Rhode Island Elks Lodges and all who contributed to this generous show of support for our Veterans.
