VA Providence celebrated a major milestone with the ribbon cutting for Phase II of its new Mental Health Building.

The $15 million, 14,000-square-foot expansion consolidates existing mental health services into one centralized, modern facility designed to enhance privacy, improve access, and foster a healing environment for Veterans. 

Distinguished guests included Congressman Seth Magaziner (RI-02), Rhode Island Governor Daniel McKee, Providence Mayor Brett Smiley, and Rhode Island Director of Veterans Services Kasim Yarn. VA Providence Director Lawrence Connell, VISN leadership, and dedicated staff joined together to commemorate the occasion, underscoring the shared commitment to advancing Veteran mental health care.
