Turning the Soil for a Stronger Future: VA Providence Breaks Ground on the New Bourne CBOC

By Justyn Charon, Public Affairs Specialist
The VA Providence Healthcare System reached an exciting milestone last Friday as leaders, staff, community partners, and Veterans gathered to celebrate the groundbreaking of the new Bourne Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC).
This long-anticipated project represents a major investment in expanding access to high-quality VA care for Veterans across Cape Cod, strengthening our commitment to deliver services closer to where Veterans live.
Set to replace the current clinic footprint, the new Bourne CBOC will offer expanded primary care, mental health services, specialty care support, and state-of-the-art telehealth capabilities. The modern, Veteran-focused design will enhance privacy, comfort, and accessibility, ensuring that Veterans on the Cape receive the same level of care and convenience available at larger VA campuses.
Friday’s groundbreaking brought together local leaders and VA Providence staff who played a key role in advancing the project. The event highlighted the importance of collaboration and the impact the new clinic will have on the region’s Veterans for generations to come. As construction begins, the VA Providence Healthcare System looks forward to delivering a stronger future of care to the Cape Cod community.
