Aleda's Warriors Bring Home Gold from National Veteran Wheelchair Games

Saginaw , MI — Saginaw – Aleda E. Lutz VAMC celebrates two super athletes who competed in the 2024 National Wheelchair Games in New Orleans, LA.
Join us as we welcome home Army Veteran Scot Severn and Marine Corps Veteran Ray Brown on Friday, August 16, 2024, 10:00 a.m. at the main medical center lobby located at 1500 Weiss St. Saginaw, MI,
Scot, a past Paralympian, and Ray, were on their game when they medaled in various sports categories such as shotput, javelin, discus, powerlifting, bowling, softball, table tennis, and rugby. "It's great to come to the games each year, and it's not about the competition; it's about the friends all over the country you have," stated Scot about the games. Ray stated, “Let’s grow, Saginaw,” in reference to inspiring other Veterans to join the games next year. These athletes represent the true spirit of comradery.
