COVID-19 vaccines

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has authorized the COVID-19 vaccine.

Aleda E. Lutz VAMC is offering the COVID-19 2nd booster dose at the Saginaw location and all Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOC).

Who can receive the 2nd Booster?

  • Individuals 50+ years
  • 18+ year with certain kinds of immunocompromise (solid organ transplantation, or who are living with conditions that are considered to have an equivalent level of immunocompromise.)

  • The Medical Center continues to administer the Moderna COVID-19 two-dose series to all Veterans, their caregivers/spouses, and employees.

  • We are offering 1st booster for all and 2nd booster according to the guidelines above.

  • We currently DO NOT offer the Pfizer vaccine at any of our locations; therefore, we are NOT offering boosters to this identified population.

  • The influenza vaccine is also available. You may receive both vaccines at the same time. Contact your provider or call to schedule an appointment.
