Pamela Malatestinic was selected as Administrator of the Charlotte Health Care Center (HCC) and Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) effective Nov 21, 2021.

Prior to her appointment, Ms. Malatestinic served as the Acting Administrator, Charlotte HCC and CBOC, from October 2020 to November 2021. She also served as Associate Administrator, Charlotte Health Care Center and CBOC, from September 2018 to October 2020.  Prior to her assignment as Associate Administrator, she was the Assistant Chief, Health Administration Service at the W.G. “Bill” Hefner VA Medical Center, starting in September 2013. Before joining the VA, Ms. Malatestinic served as the Chief, Leadership Development Division, National Guard Bureau, Human Resources Directorate, Andrews Air Force Base, MD, and also served as Medical Group Superintendent and HR Superintendent at multiple locations. Ms. Malatestinic retired from the military in 2013 at the rank of Chief Master Sergeant after more than 29 years.

She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Organizational Management from St. Joseph’s University, New York, in 2002, graduating Summa Cum Laude. She completed three Associates in Applied Science degrees - Human Resources Technology, Education and Training Technology and Information Systems Technology - while assigned to the USAF and Air National Guard. During her military service, she graduated from the USAF Chief’s Leadership Course, USAF Senior Noncommissioned Officers Academy, Leadership Challenge Program and the Reserve Component National Security Course at Ft. McNair, Washington, DC. She also received her Professional Manager Certification in 2011 and was selected as the Superintendent of the Year for the Air National Guard. Ms. Malatestinic deployed to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in 2001.

Ms. Malatestinic is the recipient of the Meritorious Service Medal with 3 oak leaf clusters and the Air Force Commendation Medal with 4 oak leaf clusters. Ms. Malatestinic is a 2021 graduate of the Health Care Leadership Development Program and a 2016 Graduate of the VISN 6 Leadership Development Institute
