Steve Patil is the Chief Financial Officer at the Salisbury VA Medical Center in Salisbury, NC and has held this position since June 2005.

He has over 30 years of VA service serving in leadership positions on both the administrative and clinical side of operations and during his employment with the VA.  He has served in capacities as the Chief Fiscal Operations, Administrative Assistant to the Chief of Staff, Clinical Service Line Administrative Officer, Budget Analyst and Operating Accountant at the Lebanon PA VA Healthcare System.  Mr. Patil is a graduate of Messiah College with a degree in Economics and Accounting and holds a Master of Business Administration from Lebanon Valley College.  He is a fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE), Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM) and has served on various VISN and national work group committees.  He is a graduate of the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) Executive Career Field Program, Leadership VA Program and VA Healthcare Leadership Institute.

Mr. Patil has served as a VA national team leader of System-wide Ongoing Assessment and Review Service (SOARS) providing consulting visits to other VA medical centers regarding both the clinical and administrative sides of medical center operations.  In addition to VHA field experience, he has served on multiple week rotations in VA Central Office staff in Finance and the Under Secretary of Health Office and has an appreciation of the complexity and responsibilities of managing a large healthcare organization.
