Join in on the fun at the Salt Lake City VA Farmer's Market, Wednesdays, 11 am – 1:30 pm, August 3 – September 7, 2022. Enjoy a fun and tasty opportunity to gather with Veterans, family members, visitors, and staff while enjoying live music from talented Veteran and local artists.

Each week, the VA Farmer’s Market will offer food trucks, host a fun workout class, and provide a chance to participate in a food tasting of healthy recipes. The market is an easy way to be immersed in a relaxing environment and allows participants to take a step towards better health. Whether it’s energizing your body with movement, relaxing and connecting with others in the community, or nourishing your body and mind with fresh produce, all Veterans, family members, visitors, and staff are welcome to join in.

Here at the VA, we believe the healthy choice should be the easy choice. So, this year at the VA Farmer’s Market we are stepping up and taking action to address food insecurity.  Too often, those who are food insecure experience barriers to purchasing healthy food. Our mission is to make it easy and affordable for Veterans and members of the public experiencing food insecurity to access fresh fruits and vegetables from local Utah community farmers.  The produce stand at the market will accept SNAP (Food Stamp) cards and give twice the produce for Food Stamp dollars.  They will also accept Produce Rx vouchers and Senior Nutrition Farmers Market Nutrition Program coupons as payment for fresh fruits and vegetables.  This will be a great way to increase access to wholesome, nutritious foods., support our local Utah farmers and vendors, and stimulate the local economy. Most importantly, it will empower Veterans and others to make choices to improve their health and well-being.
