What is the purpose of having a MH Advocacy Council?

The council will act in an advocacy role to the mental health services to provide a “service user” point of view on:

  • Other matters that affect the veterans who use our mental health services

What is expected of the members of the MH Advocacy Council ?

MH advocacy members should:

  • Be interested in working constructively towards goals within a group environment.
  • Make a commitment to being part of the council for a period of at least a year.
  • Devote to the work of the council (2-3 hours per month).
  • Attend meetings regularly (once per month), on the 4th Friday of the Month via zoom.
