COVID-19 testing: All veterans with symptoms concerning for COVID-19 or those who are five (5) days from a confirmed exposure, may contact the 24-hour nurse advice line (800-733-0502) or their primary care clinic to arrange a COVID-19 test. Due to resource limitations, we do not offer repeat COVID testing for those who have recently tested positive, or for pre-travel or employment purposes.

COVID-19 vaccines: All Veterans, spouses and caregivers can get a COVID-19 vaccine at VA by appointment or walk-in clinic. Visit our vaccine information page on information regarding receiving your COVID-19 initial doses, as well as additional/booster doses.

Feeling sick with symptoms that could be from COVID-19? (Runny nose, cough, sore throat)

Call our 24 hour nurse advice line at 800-733-0502 to:
- Schedule a covid-19 test
- Report your home test results
- Get help for your symptoms
- Find out if you qualify for COVID-19 treatment.
If you have an at-home COVID test, use it. (You can request free test kits at www.covid.gov/tests)
If your home test is negative, we still ask that you stay home from routine appointments so no respiratory infections of any kind are spread in our clinics.
- Many routine appointments can be converted to virtual visits. Call your clinic to find out.

Dr. Emily Heffner was born and raised in a rural town in northeastern Pennsylvania. She received her BA in Biology from the University of Virginia

Dr. Emily Heffner was born and raised in a rural town in northeastern Pennsylvania. She received her BA in Biology from the University of Virginia and her DMD degree from Temple University Kornberg School of Dentistry in Philadelphia. Dr. Heffner joined the SFVA General Practice Residency Program in July of 2022. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, playing pickleball, and backpacking in the great outdoors.
