Shawn Graham, Communications and Portfolio Manager

Picture of Shawn GrahamShawn served as Communications and Portfolio Manager with the Secretary's Center for Strategic Partnerships (SCSP) from October 2018- March 2020. As a Communications and Portfolio Manager, he helped develop and maintain the SCSP communications program and led outreach efforts to raise awareness about the many partnership initiatives driven by SCSP .

He previously served as a public affairs specialist with the National Cemetery Administration Communications and Community Outreach Division where he was responsible for assisting the Communications Director in developing and maintaining the NCA public affairs program. Prior to that assignment, he served as a newspaper editor and public affairs specialist at Naval Air Station Patuxent River, Maryland, and served as the installation's public affairs officer – a position he held for nearly four months. Prior to that, he served as the public affairs officer at the Center for Service Support, Newport, Rhode Island.

Mr. Graham retired from the U.S. Navy at the rate of chief mass communication specialist with nearly 21 years of service. He has deployed several times to serve as a communication and public affairs asset in remote areas to include Afghanistan and Uganda. Mr. Graham is a two-time recipient of the prestigious Russell Egnor Award for Navy Journalism. The Russell Egnor Navy Awards program recognizes quality in Navy Public Affairs and Visual Information and the excellence of those who create them.

He is a graduate of the Defense Information School. He has also earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Multidisciplinary Sciences, a Master of Science degree in Human Performance Improvement and a Master of Science degree in Management and Leadership.
