Thank you for your time, Volunteers!

Hands being raised with the word Volunteer above them.
By Kristina Miller, Public Affairs Officer

It is National Volunteer Week and our team joins with VAs across the nation to thank all volunteers for their support of our Veterans.

There are no words that can accurately describe the gratitude each and every volunteer deserves for the time and service they give the Veterans at our medical center. How do you put into the words the quality of a hand to hold, a selfless stranger becoming a close companion in a Veteran’s final days?  How do you quantify the value of a reassuring smile at the patient bedside, or so many memories shared over so many miles driven?

Volunteers bring more than their service to the halls of our medical facility. Volunteers bring life. Volunteers help make a clinic a community. Volunteers give laughter, share tears, honor our Veteran patients, and inspire our staff.

Our volunteers are vital to the Veteran’s experience here and we simply cannot thank each of them enough. But, behind those volunteer hours are the lives touched, treated, and possibly transformed in the personal stories each volunteer builds with the Veterans they serve.

Our mission remains to Honor America’s Veterans by providing exceptional health care that improves their health and well-being. However, we couldn’t do it without our dedicated volunteers—thank you to all of you who have ever donated your precious time with us!

If you have questions about volunteering any time as an individual or organization, please contact Bill at 307-675-3226. Even a one-time donation of your time can make a difference to our Veterans.
