November is National Family Caregivers Month!

VA Caregiver Support Caregiving connects us, community strengthens us

By Erika Jacobson, Caregiver Support Program Manager

November is a special time for the Caregiver Support Program (CSP) as we join the nation in celebrating National Family Caregivers Month (NFCM).

Caring for a Veteran is a unique journey—one filled with commitment, purpose, sacrifice, and resilience. It can also be one of life’s most challenging roles. That’s why the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is proud to reaffirm our commitment to caregivers through a simple but powerful message: Caregiving Connect Us, Community Strengthens Us.

Caregiving looks different for every Veteran and family, but the role carries a shared purpose that connects caregivers. These connections build the foundation for a supportive caregiver community—one where caregivers grow stronger together.

Because No Caregiver Should Walk This Path Alone
CSP offers support throughout the caregiving journey, helping you stay connected, informed, and resilient, even when things get tough. We offer peer support mentoring services, educational tools and VA staff ready to provide resources and guidance.
