Patriotism and Serving Veterans
The team at Mann-Grandstaff VAMC is so proud to serve and support the Veterans in our care. With veteran-centric care and quality outcomes are our goals, we also want to ensure enrolled Veterans stay informed on recent milestones and upcoming events that will help the VA experience going forward.
1. In 2025, we’re moving to 2 modern, secure sign-in account options (Login.gov or ID.me). Keep reading and find out what this change means for you and what you can do now to prepare.
Why we’re making this change
To simplify your sign-in experience with fewer account options to use for all VA benefits and care—just as Veterans like you have asked for
To continue to protect your identity and personal information—and meet the latest federal standards for modern account security
What does this change mean for you?
After January 31, 2025, you won't be able to sign in to VA.gov, VA mobile apps, or other VA online services with a My HealtheVet username and password.
After September 30, 2025, you won't be able to sign in to VA with a DS Logon username and password.
You’ll now have 2 sign-in account options: Login.gov or ID.me. You can use your Login.gov or ID.me account to sign in to VA.gov, VA mobile applications, and any other VA online service to manage your VA benefits and care.
What you need to do
For Veterans who do not use Login.gov or ID.me, we urge you to create an account online by following the instructions at Creating An Account For VA.gov | Veterans Affairs. You can also come to Mann-Grandstaff VAMC on November 19th or 20th and stop into Bldg-32 on our VAMC campus (drop-ins welcome anytime between 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.) for in-person assistance with signing up and creating an account. National support can also be reached at 1-888-444-6982.

MGVAMC and the Spokane Vet Center teams wish to thank all of our amazing VA Community Partners for helping make this year’s 5th consecutive Veterans Day “drive-thru” event at Spokane VA a wonderful success! Hundreds of vehicles, transporting Veterans, and their families, and a generous portion of food supplies from Spokane’s 2nd Harvest Foods are helping so many with food insecurity heading into the holidays. We’re sharing these links to our social media accounts so you can see all of the great accomplishments and community support we have at Mann-Grandstaff VAMC.
3. Blood donors are needed! On Thursday, November 21st, MGVAMC will host a voluntary Blood Drive on the VAMC campus between 8:45 am – 1:30 pm on the Vitalant Bus parked in front of the main medical center building.
