Amanda Westlund

Ms. Westlund has dedicated 17 years of service to the Department of Veterans Affairs, where she has held numerous leadership positions.
Ms. Westlund served as the Syracuse VA’s acting Associate and Assistant Medical Center Director from August 2025 – April 2026. She joins the Syracuse VA from the Hines VA Hospital in Chicago, IL where she served as the Chief of Patient Administration Service. In that role, she oversaw the Health Administration Services, Member Services, and Health Information Management Services (HIMS).
Before her tenure at Hines, Ms. Westlund held several pivotal roles within the St. Louis VA Health Care System, including Health Systems Specialist to the Medical Center Director, Business Manager for the Medical Service, and Acting Group Practice Manager.
Ms. Westlund is a graduate of both the Graduate Health Administration Training Program (GHATP) and the Healthcare Leadership Development Program (HCLDP). She also holds a master’s degree in Healthcare Administration and is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, as testament to her commitment to professional excellence.
