James A. Haley Veterans’ Hospital Shines in 2024 CFC Fundraiser

The staff demonstrated the power of generosity and service by raising $41,025. The amount raised placed Tampa VA as the top fundraising facility in Veterans Integrated Service Network 8 and seventh among all VA medical centers nationwide.

The CFC has provided federal employees with a structured way to contribute to thousands of nonprofit organizations that serve and support a range of causes. The “Give Happy, Get Happy” research tested theme encouraged Team Tampa to continue to feel great by doing their part.

“The Combined Federal Campaign embodied the spirit of unity and generosity, showcasing our collective strength in achieving remarkable milestones to uplift our communities and support those in need,” said Kayla Brown-Gregory, 2024 Campaign Co-Chair. “Since 1961, the Combined Federal Campaign has raised over $8 billion for charity, making it one of the largest workplace giving programs in the world!”

The mission of the CFC is to promote and support philanthropy through a program that is employee-focused, cost-efficient and effective in providing all federal employees the opportunity to improve the quality of life for all.

“The Combined Federal Campaign is one of the world's largest and most successful annual workplace charity campaigns, with 35 CFC campaigns throughout the country and overseas raising millions of dollars each year,” Crystal Mickens-Houck, 2024 Campaign Co-Chair. “Pledges made by Federal civilian, postal and military donors during the campaign season will support eligible non-profit organizations that provide health and human service benefits throughout the world.”

The CFC is overseen by the Office of Personnel Management, and the Director of OPM has designated responsibility for day-to-day management of the program and to its CFC office.
