Roof fire at Nashville VA Medical Center

NASHVILLE , TN — The Nashville VA Medical Center experienced a small fire on its roof today around 3:30 p.m. CT.
A portion of the hospital was evacuated due to smoke and no patients or staff were injured.
The hospital is safe to enter, and officials continue to assess damages. Patients will be contacted as soon as possible should their appointment be impacted.
VA Tennessee Valley Healthcare System is an integrated tertiary health care system comprised of two hospitals, the Alvin C. York Campus in Murfreesboro and the Nashville Campus, as well as more than a dozen community-based outpatient clinics located in Tennessee and Kentucky.
