Administrative hiring fair at Nashville and Murfreesboro VA hospitals

**COVID-19 Vaccination: All attendees will be asked to provide information about their vaccination status. Attendees who are not fully vaccinated or decline to provide information about their vaccination status must provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test completed no later than the previous three days, and comply with relevant safety protocols (e.g. masking, physical distancing, etc.) consistent with their vaccination status.**

Tennessee Valley Healthcare System (TVHS) is hosting a hiring fair July 20 from 8 a.m. - 2 p.m. at its Nashville campus and July 27 from 8 a.m. - 2 p.m. at its Murfreesboro campus.

The positions available at the hiring fairs are Medical Support Assistants and Advanced Medical Support Assistants. These entry-level positions offer ample room for career growth and their responsibilities include:

  • patient intake and scheduling appointments in a timely manner
  • communicating professionally and effectively with peers and patients
  • managing patient wait lists, appointment calendars and other administrative programs

Both positions are open to individuals who have experience with patient intake or scheduling, administrative or clerical work, and possess strong interpersonal and organizational skills. The positions are full-time, offer medical, dental, vision and life insurance benefits, exceptional retirement and 401k plans, paid time off, paid sick days, 11 paid holidays, and the salary ranges from $40,200 to $52,300 based on experience.

The hiring fairs are a walk-in event, so registration is not required.

Applicants will learn more about the positions, be interviewed on-the-spot and may receive a job offer.  If a job offer is extended, the applicant will have their physical, credentialing and fingerprints completed on-site to expedite the hiring process. The process should take no longer than one hour.
