On September 10, Veterans, families, caregivers, and community partners gathered at the Corpus Christi West Point VA Clinic for the Whole Health Summit, hosted by VA Texas Valley Coastal Bend Health Care System.

The event introduced attendees to VA’s Whole Health approach—a personalized model of care that focuses on what matters most to each Veteran. Instead of starting with “What’s the matter with you?” Whole Health begins with “What matters to you?”

Veterans explored a variety of services that support both mind and body wellness, including:

  • Chiropractic care to relieve pain and improve mobility
  • Acupuncture to support healing and energy balance
  • Meditation and guided imagery to reduce stress
  • Yoga and tai chi to build strength and flexibility
  • Sleep tips for better rest
  • Pain management strategies tailored to daily life

The summit also featured speakers from VA programs like Beneficiary Travel and Whole Health Coaches, along with local community partners. Veterans had the chance to ask questions, sign up for resources, and connect with staff in a welcoming, supportive space.

Your health journey is personal. Talk to your VA care team about your goals and ask how Whole Health can support you. Call  to learn more.
