Ellen Prewitt O.D., F.A.A.O.

Dr.  Prewitt grew up in Mobile, AL. and attended Spring Hill College, where she received her Bachelor of Science degree. She moved to Birmingham in 2013 to attend the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Optometry (UABSO). Dr. Prewitt completed her residency training in ocular disease/ primary eye care at TVAMC in June 2018 and joined the optometry staff following completion. Dr. Prewitt currently serves as Staff Optometrist and Externship Supervisor. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and is a member of the American Optometric Association, National Association of Veterans Affairs Optometrists, Armed Forces Optometric Society, and the Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society.
