Tracy Y. White, MSN. RN., earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1990 and Master of Science in Nursing in 2011 from the University of Alabama.
She completed a Nurse Manager Trainee program in 2004 and is a certified Veterans Health Administration mentor. Mrs. White was a recipient of the 2011 Alabama Hospital Hero’s award.
Mrs. White was employed by the Tuscaloosa VA Medical Center in 2001. She served as the Chief of Quality Management Services at Tuscaloosa VA Medical Center since 2008. During her tenure, Mrs. White also served as a staff nurse, unit manager, performance improvement coordinator, and Acting Associate Chief Nurse for Geriatrics Extended Care.
Mrs. White currently serves on various VISN 7 committees, such as, Healthcare Operations Committee, Safety and Environment of Care Subcommittee, Resources Management and Contracting Committee, and Informational and Technology Committee.
Mrs. White was previously employed at Druid City Hospital (DCH) Regional Medical Center as a Registered Nurse specializing medical/surgical services and Bryce Hospital (Alice M. Kidd) as a staff nurse and supervisor for a 217-bed nursing home facility and medical unit.
Mrs. White is married and has three daughters.
