REASONS FOR REMAND
The Veteran served on active duty from July 1972 to July 1974.  This case comes before the Board of Veterans’ Appeals (Board) on appeal from an August 2013 rating decision.
In a July 2016 Report of General Information and in correspondence received in September 2016 the Veteran indicated that he longer desired a Board hearing on these matters but instead desired that a hearing at the RO before a local hearing officer be scheduled.  Such a hearing should be scheduled.
The matters are REMANDED for the following action:
Attempt to schedule the Veteran for a hearing at the RO before a local hearing officer.  Schedule him for such hearing at the earliest opportunity, and notify him and his representative of the date, time, and location of his hearing.
