Citation Nr: 18143938 Decision Date: 10/22/18 Archive Date: 10/22/18 DOCKET NO. 15-18 800 DATE: October 22, 2018 REMANDED Entitlement to an initial rating in excess of 10 percent for deformity of left hand wrist and forearm is remanded. REASONS FOR REMAND The Veteran served on active duty from July 1980 to July 1992. This matter comes before the Board of Veterans’ Appeals (Board) on appeal from an August 2013 rating decision by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Regional Office. The Veteran provided testimony at a December 2017 Board video conference hearing before the undersigned. A transcript of the hearing is of record. Entitlement to an initial rating in excess of 10 percent for deformity of left hand wrist and forearm is remanded. In a September 2018 correspondence, the Veteran requested that his case be remanded to the Agency of Original Jurisdiction (AOJ) for review of additional evidence that was submitted in his appeal after the last supplemental statement of the case in August 2015. In accordance with the Veteran’s request, the Board will remand for the AOJ to consider the evidence in the first instance. The matter is REMANDED for the following action: Conduct any necessary development and readjudicate the issue on appeal. If the decision is adverse to the Veteran, issue a supplemental statement of the case and allow the appropriate time for response. Then return the claim to the Board. THOMAS H.
