Citation Nr: 18146931 Decision Date: 11/02/18 Archive Date: 11/02/18 DOCKET NO. 14-40 031 DATE: November 2, 2018 REMANDED An initial compensable rating for bilateral hearing loss. REASONS FOR REMAND In his November 2014 VA Form 9, the Veteran indicated that he underwent a hearing test at the VA Medical Center in Asheville on September 19, 2014. He indicated that this hearing test revealed some level of worsening of his hearing. A review of the record reflects that this medical record is not in the claims file and the most recent VA treatment records in the claims file are dated in September 2013. As such, a remand is required in order to obtain this medical record, as well as all up-to-date VA treatment records. The matter is REMANDED for the following actions: 1. Obtain copies of the Veteran’s VA treatment records dating from September 2013 to the present, to specifically include the results of a September 2014 audiogram, and associate them with the claims file. 2. After the above action is completed, readjudicate the claim based on a review of the record. If the decision remains adverse to the Veteran, issue a supplemental statement of the case and allow the appropriate time for response. Then, return the case to the Board. L.
