Citation Nr: 18146939 Decision Date: 11/02/18 Archive Date: 11/02/18 DOCKET NO. 15-27 974 DATE: November 2, 2018 ORDER A total disability rating based on individual unemployability (TDIU) is granted, subject to the laws and regulations governing the award of monetary benefits. FINDING OF FACT The evidence of record and the Veteran’s competent and credible testimony establish that his service-connected disabilities (especially post-traumatic stress disorder and a heart condition) prevent him from obtaining and maintaining substantially gainful employment. CONCLUSION OF LAW The criteria for TDIU have been met. 38 U.S.C. §§ 1110, 5103, 5103A, 5107; 38 C.F.R. §§ 3.102, 3.340, 3.341, 4.3, 4.15, 4.16. REASONS AND BASES FOR FINDING AND CONCLUSION The Veteran served on active duty from August 1967 to March 1969. These matters are before the Board of Veterans’ Appeals (Board) on appeal from an October 2014 rating decision. In October 2018, the Veteran testified at a hearing before the undersigned Veterans Law Judge of the Board. TDIU For the reasons outlined above, TDIU is warranted.
