Citation Nr: 18147204 Decision Date: 11/02/18 Archive Date: 11/02/18 DOCKET NO. 16-37 100 DATE: November 2, 2018 REMANDED A compensable rating for right shoulder acromioclavicular joint osteoarthritis is remanded. A compensable rating for migraine including variants with headache syndrome is remanded. REASONS FOR REMAND The Veteran had active service from September 1987 to December 2014. He is seeking compensable ratings for right shoulder osteoarthritis and headaches. With regard to his right shoulder disability the Veteran denied any pain in the shoulder at his VA examination in 2014, but a year later in his notice of disagreement, the Veteran suggested that he did in fact have right shoulder pain. The claims file is void of any medical evidence regarding the condition of the Veteran’s shoulder in a number of years, and such must be sought to allow for a fair adjudication of the claim. With regard to the Veteran’s headaches, the VA examination in 2014 did not find headaches that had been manifested by characteristic prostrating attacks averaging one in 2 months over last several months. A year later, the Veteran disagreed with this conclusions, and there is some mention of headaches in private treatment records, but without any detail as to either the frequency or the severity of the headaches. The matters are REMANDED for the following action: 1. Obtain VA treatment records from December 2014 to the present. 2. Then schedule the Veteran for VA examinations of his headaches and right shoulder disability. MATTHEW W. BLACKWELDER Veterans Law Judge Board of Veterans’ Appeals ATTORNEY FOR THE BOARD Q.
