Citation Nr: 18148345 Decision Date: 11/07/18 Archive Date: 11/07/18 DOCKET NO. 14-25 515 DATE: November 7, 2018 ORDER The Veteran’s appeal of the denial of his request to reduce the apportionment of his VA disability compensation benefits to his wife, V.D.R., is dismissed. FINDING OF FACT On October 4, 2018, VA received notice from the Social Security Administration that the Veteran died in July 2018. CONCLUSION OF LAW The criteria for dismissal of this appeal have been met due to the Veteran’s death. 38 U.S.C. § 7104(a) (2012); 38 C.F.R. § 20.1302 (2017). REASONS AND BASES FOR FINDING AND CONCLUSION Unfortunately, the Veteran died during the pendency of this appeal. As a result, his appeal of the denial of his request to reduce the apportionment of his VA disability compensation to his wife, V.D.R., has become moot and must be dismissed for lack of jurisdiction.
