Citation Nr: 18148383 Decision Date: 11/07/18 Archive Date: 11/07/18 DOCKET NO. 16-42 498 DATE: November 7, 2018 REMANDED Entitlement to a total disability rating based on individual unemployability as a result of service connected disabilities (TDIU) is remanded. REASONS FOR REMAND The Veteran filed his claim for a TDIU in November 2014, asserting that he was unable to work due to his service connected right upper extremity neuropraxia and posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD). He was last afforded VA examinations for these disabilities in August 2014 and September 2014 respectively, prior to his claim for a TDIU. The Board believes new examinations are warranted to be able to appropriately rate this claim. The matter is REMANDED for the following action: 1. Schedule the Veteran for a VA examination to assess the severity of his service-connected PTSD. The examiner should describe any functional limitation the Veteran’s PTSD has on his ability to obtain or maintain substantially gainful employment. 2. Schedule the Veteran for a VA examination to assess the severity of his service-connected right upper extremity neuropraxia. The examiner should describe any functional limitation the Veteran’s right upper extremity neuropraxia has on his ability to obtain or maintain substantially gainful employment. MATTHEW W.
